Years of Watching History Channel Pay Off
Seems all of my friends know how much I watch the History Channel. Well, they know how I go home over lunch almost every day and sleep on my ultra cushy couch with the History Channel on in the background. I have always maintained that the vast knowledge I absorb on a daily basis via satellite will eventually pay off once I'm on Jeopardy. To my credit, I was called by a telemarketer offering a general knowledge survey Tuesday evening, and, instead of fighting back with my usual Telemarketer Counter Script, I took the survey and managed to score 35 out of 35 early US history questions correctly. The questions started out on a very easy note and ended up with ones as obscure as, "What was George Washington's profession a few years after his presidency ended?" He ran a distillery. Once the survey is published, my contribution might bring the populace's average a whole .002%! Thank you, History Channel.
